Easy DIY Tulle Pom Pom Hair Bands

Easy DIY Tulle Pom Pom Hair Bands - Flax & Twine

The other day, I did a fun Instagram story of how to make these easy DIY tulle pom pom hairbands. Allie and I got inspired playing around in the basement in the cupboards full of craft goodies, where we found a huge supply of tulle! I had used a bunch of it in my Craftsy Class, The Costume Box. I knew the materials would come in handy. Folks’ excitement about the tutorial convinced me to transfer the how-to over here to the blog. I think it works out just fine!

Once Allie and I made one tulle pom pom, we couldn’t stop! We decided to make one for every girl in her class.

Because we did it as an Instagram story, I wasn’t worried about perfect photos etc. Allie and I relaxed and giggled and had an absolute a ball. It was so much fun to craft with her in a non-business way. It made me determined to do it more often! In the end, the photos, though not perfect, seemed good enough to share with you in this forum anyway. I’m working on letting go of perfectionistic tendencies. I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

Next time, I think that Allie and I will try making them in bulk. If you’re interested in trying that, use my bulk pom pom tutorial here. It should work that way well.
