If I Had More Hours: 9 Handmade Ornaments

purlbee ornament-441

I love the idea a tree full of handmade ornaments. Somehow, by the time I get around to wanting to make handmade ornaments, I’m too bogged down in my to-dos for the holidays to find the time. I am officially adding “make handmade ornaments” to my calendar in October. Still, I don’t think it’s too late! I’ve been seeing a whole slew of gorgeous, I-wish-I-had-more-hours in my day ornaments and I wanted to share them with you! I also will have my own DIY ornament for you soon!

Handmade Ornaments

These Purl Bee Heirloom Wool felt handmade ornaments made me gasp when I first saw them I thought they were so pretty! It helps that they are in my all-time favorite color palate! I was hoping they had a free pattern, but alas, you have to buy the kit. Still, I do think these would last a lifetime, so it may just be worth the buck.
Handmade Ornaments

These gorgeous temporary glass tattoo ornaments from tatt.ly are just stunning and would add beauty to any tree. These handmade ornaments seem super fast and easy – too easy not to do! You can find the floral Rifle Paper Co tattoos here or the gold tattoos here. You can find the blank glass ornaments here.

Handmade Ornaments

I love these painted wood ball ornaments from Say Yes. I say yes please! You can easily find the wood balls, paint, and screw eyes to make these online. No trip to the craft store necessary!

Handmade Ornaments

This little felt reindeer ornament had me aw-ing out loud. She also has an adorable fox one too. There’s something about felt on a tree that I love. So cute!

Willow2

Also on the too cute for words list (there’s something about woodland animals in the winter, right?), is this adorable little bunny inside a prism. These handmade ornaments were designed by Gina of WillowDay for Sweet Paul. I love that she made the prism herself out of overhead projector film!

Handmade Ornaments

Then, you know me, I’m a sucker for a cute knitted heart. Heidi from Hands Occupied designed this and 12 other handmade ornaments this holiday season! Yay Heidi!

Handmade Ornaments - temporary tattoos!

Here’s another floral temporary tattoo ornament. This one is from The Crafted Life. She also uses the Rifle design temporary tattoos, only a different set. Still gorgeous!

ChristmasOrnament3

These little cactus in a snow drift ornaments from Vintage Revivals got me in a heart beat – couldn’t be more charming! She used salt for the snow! You could also try fake snow. Here are the fillable clear ornaments and even little cacti that you can buy online! Can you tell that I don’t want to go shopping this Christmas? It feels so hectic, when I’m trying to feel calm. Maybe the festive-I-want-to-be-shopping bug will hit me soon, but not just yet! Happy Making!
