The Pixelated Cardi from Knit Collage is such a fun sweater to knit and wear! This top-down sweater is easy to knit and the unique combination of yarn makes it really special. I adore the texture and the yarn even has a little sparkle in it! Knit Collage is running a super fun knit-a-long for this sweater so you should go play along. See details below.
This is the perfect pattern for your first top-down sweater, because of the big needles, it knits up really fast. This cardigan makes a great addition to your wardrobe, too. I am a huge fan of cropped length/shorter sweaters, and this one does the trick.
The Pixelated Cardi kit from Knit Collage includes the super soft Spun Cloud yarn – a thick and thin wool yarn with two strands of sparkly lurex plied around it. Additionally, it uses Wildflower, a really unique cotton fabric yarn made from Indian cotton printed fabric. The yarn combination is what makes this cardigan really special. It has an amazing texture to it. The color is just fabulous and it has just a smidge of sparkle – so much fun! Finally, I love the surprise fabric texture change at the top. I used Spun Cloud to make my one-skein Knit Legwarmers – it’s such a fun yarn to work with!
I always love making modifications to patterns so the finished garment is something I’m excited to wear, but I didn’t have to do much to make this cardi perfect for me. My only change was to make the sleeves longer because I knew I’d wear it more with long sleeves rather than 3/4 sleeves.
