Tag Brioche Scarf Pattern In Mollie Makes
I’m thrilled to share this brioche scarf pattern with you today. I named it Tag. I adore everything about this scarf, the brioche stitch, the fiber, the color! The scarf is squishy and luscious, and in this Juniper Moon Farm Herriot baby alpaca, soft as can be. Find the pattern listing here in Ravelry and the full pattern in Issue 59 of Mollie Makes, which is on magazine stands now. As always, Mollie Makes contains lots of other fabulous crafty projects. Look here for a preview.
Mollie Makes asked for a men’s scarf with a small contrasting detail. I loved adding these fun little embroidered tags to the side of the scarf. Subtle, fun and fully customizeable to your own favorite colors.
Once you try the brioche stitch, you will fall in love. The fabric it creates is so lofty, you’ll want to make everything out of it. The yarn over and slipped stitches produce a fabulous pronounced rib which is extra thick and squishy. The one-color brioche stitch can strike fear those that haven’t tried it. Don’t let it! Learning the stitch is not that difficult, especially with the easy step-by-step photos. After a row or two, the stitch process will be second nature to you.
No doubt this brioche scarf will be the favorite gift of the season. So loved and comfy, you are sure to want one for yourself too! Perfect for chilly, in front of the fireplace knitting!
Happy December!!
