Easy Crochet Pumpkins
Easy Crochet Pumpkins will soon be your favorite fall decoration! I love getting the opportunity to work with Martha Stewart and jumped at the chance to design a quick and easy fall project. With two sizes included in the pattern, you can make a fun centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table or add a festive fall touch to your mantle.
The pattern is available to download for free at MarthaStewart.com. You can find my profile of free Martha Stewart projects here or find a few more here.
I love this tweedy cream yarn from Loopy Mango with fall colors blended throughout. It fits the fall pumpkins perfectly. Two Easy Crochet Pumpkins sizes make for variety and interest on any table. You’re not going to be able to stop after you make one and I know you’re going to have squishy pumpkins all over your house!
If you want to make the pumpkins just like I did, I have added kits to my shop!
The kits include:
:: Loopy Mango Dream Tweed, 109 yds/100 m, 1.8 oz/50 g in Stardust (makes 2 small pumpkins)
:: Loopy Mango Merino No 5 Tweed, 74 yds/68 m, 5.3 oz/150 g in Stardust (makes 1 large pumpkin)
:: Small Clippers
:: Darning Needle
:: Polyfil stuffing for three pumpkins
Optional Hooks:
:: US P (11.5 mm) Susan Bates Plastic Hook
:: US J-10 (6.0 mm) Lykke Wooden Hook
The large pumpkin measures 8" x 6.5" and the small pumpkins measure 4" x 3.25" when made using the Loopy Mango yarn. The main piece for the pumpkin is twice as long as it is wide. If you want to use your stash yarn, just pick a hook in the size that works best for your yarn and follow the same proportions. You’ll have your own pumpkin patch in a jiffy.
