Embellished Bangles - A Darby Smart Kit by Flax & Twine

I couldn’t be more excited about my new Darby Smart kit! These bangles are the cutest and so much fun for a night out on the town. I adore the metallic clutch, too (sorry, it’s not included)! What a killer project to do with your daughter or friends. I always say, those that craft together, stay together . . . ! What I love about Darby Smart is that the kits come right to your door with everything included. No need to make a stop at the craft store – easy, peasy.

I love the jewel tones in this kit mixed with the white and sparkle of the gold and rhinestones. They’re calling it the Jewelry Design Starter Kit ($19) because it’s a simple and easy way to start making beautiful jewelry pieces of your own design. Mix and match the trim and colors to your heart’s content.
Plus, don’t you just love bangles? I for one am so happy they’re back. My mother used to wear them (okay, she still does, never stopped), and the clink, clink sound on my wrist is one of those imprinted sounds that just makes me feel like a glamorous girl!
While we’re talking kits, Darby Smart still has some of the Flax & Twine headband kits available (although not many)! You can buy the headband kit either as one project (three headbands) ($16) or as part of a Girls Night Kit (twelve headbands) ($44). I love the black chevron trim in this kit. Who wouldn’t want to do this project with a bunch of girlfriends, margaritas in hand? Hello! I’m there. Can we start now?

Happy weekend to you all!

Love for The Phantom Tollbooth
