Fall Wreaths – To DIY or Buy
Fall wreaths? Yes! Those dead begonias in my front gate planter are hitting the garbage heap this weekend. My family is returning to the back-to-school rhythm and loving the fall swing of things. All of a sudden, turning leaves, football Sundays, pots of soup, mugs of hot chocolate and impending Halloween insanity is upon us. I’m excited!
Making and hanging fall wreaths *was* on my to do list. But, I’m trying to be realistic as I stare with awe at the soccer/field hockey/dance/swimming/middle school schedule. I have to ponder that ever asked question . . . to DIY or buy. Fall wreaths (yes, I have two front doors!) might just have to land in the buy column this month. As much as I wish I could make everything I have a notion to make, sometimes I just have to accept that I can’t do everything, buy, and move on. sigh.
To DIY:
If I Had More Hours in my day, here are some Fall DIY wreaths that I think are fabulous! I think that peanut one is my favorite! Bonus, the last two could easily carry on through the holiday season (two for one!)

Middle Row: Wheat Burst Wreath by A Real Life Housewife and Acorn Wreath by On Sutton Place
Bottom Row: Boxwood Wreath on Poppytalk and Wooden Bead Wreath by Sweet Paul
To Buy:
I found a number of beautiful wreaths that I liked for this season on The Wreath Depot. The opening image is the Vintage Wheel Wreath. Here are some of my other faves. I think I might just get a couple of those Quail Brush Twig wreaths for my white, double front doors and call it a day!
Top Row: Orchard Bounty Wreath and Harvest Bounty Grain Wheel
Bottom Row: Quince Delight and Quail Brush Twig Wreath
What do you think? Which would you choose? Do you have time to make a fall wreath this year? I’m hoping so!
