Guest Curating on Crescendoh!
I’m so excited to be featured over at
Crescendoh this week as Jenny Doh’s Guest Curator. I share two new beautiful “finds” every day this week on Jenny’s blog! I found so many lovely items to share, you just have to pop over there and see what I discovered. Jenny Doh, author of
Crescendoh! is incredibly inspiring. She is a successful author, artist, blogger, teacher and mother- all the many things I aspire to. Jenny always talks about and shares how Art Saves! I write in
my profile/interview how reveling in everyday beauty can bring us so much joy, and really can “save” us. In that, I discuss how I first came to write flax & twine.
In this move, I have been surrounded by so much chaos: new schedules, new schools, new friends, new house, and piles and piles of boxes, all without my usual tools by my side. It has all been difficult to say the least. But, I am mucking my way through enjoying the little bits and pieces of beauty see in the everyday world around me. I wanted to share some more of those with you today.
The first photo is a tulle crown that is part of
my Craftsy course, the Costume Box. In the course, I teach you how to make many sweet and easy costume pieces for boys and girls for Halloween or everyday dress up use. Its a perfect way to whip up that last minute costume.
Speaking of costumes and crowns, the cuteness of these
diy lace crowns just sleigh me.
This is just the coolest smocking, as shown on Zakka Inspired, that I ever have seen.
What have you seen that floats your boat recently?
