World's Best Knit Mitt Potholder Pattern and Video

World's Best Knit Mitt Potholder Pattern and Video!

World’s Best Knit Mitt Potholder is the perfect gift for that person who appreciates simplicity and loves functional gifts. My very first crochet project was a similar potholder taught to me by my grandmother when I was six years old. I think I might have made 50 of them!! I’ve always wanted to make a knit version that was just as wonderful. I love how this has turned out!

The World’s Best Knit Mitten Potholder is my latest collaboration with Yarnspirations. I’ve been so excited to share this pattern and step-by-step video with you! This mitten-style potholder is the best because it is double thick and it has a hand cover to keep you safe. Are you like me and burn your hand on that oven rack all the time? Now you can avoid it! I walk you through every little bit, including the crochet border!

Knit in Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn – a natural, 100% USA-grown cotton yarn – you’ll want to make one for everyone you know. I’ve made them out of Ecru and Black. Because of the cotton, you can just remove the tassel and throw them in the washing machine to get them looking brand new again! They’re super sturdy, and last forever, holding up under your roughest kitchen work. They also look fantastic as they keep your table safe from hot dishes.

The World’s Best Knit Mitt Potholder is also a great inexpensive gift. I love giving gifts that remind your recipients of you every time they use it. Just add a leather braided tassel to dress it up a bit. It’s is the perfect finishing touch to make it look like it came from your favorite trendy kitchen shop.

Make sure you check out my other collaborations with Yarnspirations! I’ve had so much fun designing for them this year. The Copper Cropper Sweater, Fade to Summer Gradient Knit T-Shirt, and Mohair Mini Cable Mitts are all simple and stylish patterns that you’ll enjoy making.
