Mid-Make . . . Blanket Stitched Napkins and a Retreat Spot Giveaway!
I’ve been busy making these for a dear friend of mine. I am hopeful that she will like them. Do you ever get that fear that you’re putting hours of hand-crafted time into something that may never get used in the end? It’s harder to feel “the thought that counts” notion when you’ve spent oodles of your time doing something, right? Well, I’m using a hand painted yarn that has gorgeous variation in color, so the end product is beautiful. With my friend’s modern sensibility, I’m sure she’ll love them. What do you think? Do you like just the simple blanket stitch edge or should I go for the crochet chain all the way around? I am thrilled to bring this
Finish Fifty project to fruition. I’ll be back with the tutorial for these puppies soon!
I’ve got a different big tutorial and announcement for you Thursday so make sure you come back by to see what I have in store. It is also table-oriented, but much softer in color palette. I’m using *clear* chalkboard paint and glitter to create something so fabulous you won’t want to miss it!
I’m also busy getting ready to teach at Create Explore Discover Retreat 2013 in Truckee, CA October 18 – 20. There are still a couple of spots available in my classes, but they won’t last long. Register here to explore the great class offerings. The retreat is really well-priced for the dreamy digs and wonderful, rewarding experience you receive. Sarah Stevenson who runs the retreat is an absolute gem. Sarah is graciously giving away a class and lunch, if you want to try your luck for that:
