Trellis Hemstitched Clutch Weave-A-Long

The Trellis Hemstitched Clutch is one of my favorite projects from Weaving Within Reach, and I’m so excited to invite you to make it with me during my first-ever Weave-A-Long!

This is a wonderful project for both beginning weavers who want to dive in to making fabric and for experienced weavers who love working with beautiful yarn and making something useful. You might even learn a new technique! I’ve even designed a new strap for the clutch that is exclusive to the Weave-A-Long participants.

Each week during thefour-week Weave-A-Long, you’ll receive a link to a video that explains the next steps to complete the Trellis Hemstitched Clutch. I’ve broken the pattern up into four step-by-step sections that you should be able to complete during that week. The videos include instruction on the new techniques required to complete that section. Plus, I’ll be doing a a live Q&A on Instagram to answer any questions you might have about that week’s section.

We’re going to have so much fun! I’m so excited for you to weave with me!

The Flax & Twine Community Grant

I know this year has not been easy for anyone and my heart goes out to those of you who have been impacted by the pandemic. To help those of you who might not be able to participate in the Weave-A-Long due to the loss of a job or other unexpected hardships, I’m introducing the Flax & Twine Community Grant. For every 10 Weave-A-Long kits sold, we will pick one person to receive a kit – free of charge. I have also created an opportunity for us to give even MORE grants. When you buy your kit, you will be able to sponsor a full kit or give a partial donation so even more members of our community can participate.

You can submit your name or nominate someone you know by sending an email to flaxandtwine@gmail.com. On June 2, we will do a random drawing to pick the recipients and those selected will receive a Weave-A-Long. We base the nominations on the honor system – no proof of need required.

If you are able, please consider making a donation to the Flax & Twine Community Grant when you join us. We look forward to including as manny weavers as we can in our Weave-A-Long.
