Naomi Nesting Bowls Kit

Sale price$ 38.00 USD
Color:Jute with Ivory
762 in stock

Make these beautiful, rustic nesting bowls with simple stitching—just a needle and yarn and your own two hands. You’ll love how quickly and beautifully this basket bowl gets worked up with the brand new Flax & Twine 6mm Jute Rope. Learn a new basketweaving stitch that allows for straight stitching across one layer of coiled rope. We love it!

Kit makes two bowls. We like them made one bigger and one smaller so they can sit happily together. But go ahead, give one to a friend. We like that!

Measurements are 6.5” x 2” (small) and 7.5” x 2.5” (large)

Kit includes:
:: 1 hank Flax & Twine 6mm Jute Rope (12yds)
:: 1 skein Flax & Twine Daytime Linen Fingering Weight
:: Darning Needle
:: Stitch Marker
:: Naomi Nesting Bowls Video and Pattern

You’ll need a sharp pair of scissors.

Please note, almost all jute, including ours, is treated with a mineral oil, Jute Batching Oil, during manufacturing to keep the fibers soft and together as it is twisted. This oil can smell a little like mild turpentine. If your bundle smells too much for you, leave it in the sun for a day or two, exposing the rope to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation will lessen the mineral oil smell.

So cute and so easy! Thinking about ordering another kit but using it to make one larger basket instead of 2 small ones.

Love it

I am trying to go slow and easy on this since it is my first attempt at this craft. I know that I am going to love it once I get the hang of it.

A Satisfying Project

Even though my hands were sore, I always wanted to keep working! I wrapped the ending loop a bit differently (brought it down instead of up) but followed the directions otherwise.
