Naomi Nesting Bowls Kit

Sale price$ 38.00 USD
Color:Jute with Ivory
353 in stock

Make these beautiful, rustic nesting bowls with simple stitching—just a needle and yarn and your own two hands. You’ll love how quickly and beautifully this basket bowl gets worked up with the brand new Flax & Twine 6mm Jute Rope. Learn a new basketweaving stitch that allows for straight stitching across one layer of coiled rope. We love it!

Kit makes two bowls. We like them made one bigger and one smaller so they can sit happily together. But go ahead, give one to a friend. We like that!

Measurements are 6.5” x 2” (small) and 7.5” x 2.5” (large)

Kit includes:
:: 1 hank Flax & Twine 6mm Jute Rope (12yds)
:: 1 skein Flax & Twine Daytime Linen Fingering Weight
:: Darning Needle
:: Stitch Marker
:: Naomi Nesting Bowls Video and Pattern

You’ll need a sharp pair of scissors.

Please note, almost all jute, including ours, is treated with a mineral oil, Jute Batching Oil, during manufacturing to keep the fibers soft and together as it is twisted. This oil can smell a little like mild turpentine. If your bundle smells too much for you, leave it in the sun for a day or two, exposing the rope to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation will lessen the mineral oil smell.

Nesting bowls

I liked this project. It was relaxing but the video was hard to follow because the work she was doing wasn’t centered to the camera.

Have only unpacked, read the instructions, watched the video and put my linen into a ball but am impressed so far! The video was great. Can’t wait to actually get started on my first (of many I hope) project!!!

Great

This was my first time with basket weavingand I am really enjoying it. A few comments: I wish the thread would have already been in a ball, it was a mess to spool it. The video was a little confusing at times, but I got it.
