Trellis Stitch Drawstring Bag Pattern - Mini and Regular

Sale price$ 8.00 USD
9851 in stock

This beautiful knit drawstring bag employs a simple, sweet trellis slip stitch pattern with a hem channel and cleverly made drawstring (no i-cord!). The bag has a flat, boxed bottom with gusset so it can sit standing.

This pattern makes two sizes.

REGULAR: 1 skein Flax & Twine Daytime Linen DK Weight (100% linen; 125 yds/100 g) makes a 5.5" x 9" bag

MINI: 1 skein Flax & Twine Daytime Linen Fingering Weight (100% linen; 125 yds/100 g) makes a 3" x 5" bag

This makes a great project bag (you could even add a fabric lining!). And how cute would they be as a set!?

Pattern includes link to video tutorial for how to make the hem channel, as well as detailed photographic tutorial for bag and drawstring.

Tools:
REGULAR: US 6/4 mm straight or circular needles
MINI: Size US 2/2.75mm straight or circular needles

For either:
• Tapestry needle
• Spare knitting needle (US 1 for Mini, US 1 or 2 for regular)
• Measuring tape

Are you interested in just the kit which includes everything you need? You can find it HERE for the Regular Size, and HERE for the Mini Size.

New skills!

My bag is blocking right now! I am a loose knitter and it was a bit of a learning curve for me to give a good tug on sts before and after the sl2 in order to work pattern. I was amazed at how easy it was to seam the top and that’s a new skill i plan on using again! Thank you for the video in regards to the cords. I really needed the visual.
This was a quick knit, taught me new skills, and turned out exactly as pictured.

Trellis Stitch Drawstring Bag

I have just finished knitting the regular size (it is being blocked as I write this) and the pattern and accompanying video were very well done. The drawstring channel was a bit fiddly but worked out well. I will be sewing it up and making the drawstrings this weekend, but so far very happy :) I look forward to making more items from this company.
